Almost three months late - learned a lot!
At the end of 2021, we founded the startup iMBdigital.Gallery_. What was initially intended as a playground for NFT applications has evolved as its own design thinking lab. We have now already developed NFT strategies for marketing in two companies; in the first case it was a Brazilian national sports series and in the second case we were on the road for a national lifestyle brand. Currently, there are two projects in development where the focus is on blockchain-based tracking for commodities to generate bio-energy.
In this environment, we (iMBdigital.Gallery_ and iMB) have tested very intensively most different applications of AI and ML since the first quarter of 2022. Each solution in itself has its pros and cons. But how do you get user-centric integration right?
Creativity Lab
So we created our own internal project. The result was to be published on 01 January 2023. The idea was to integrate visual ML and text AI in as many aspects as possible and create an overall project. We wanted to know where the limits are and what we can already achieve as pure OT operators.
Work steps Prompt Engineering
1. Autonomously, a ML analyzes 5,840 photos from the year 2022, all taken in São Paulo.
2. An AI independently generates chapters and assigns the photos to chapters. Downstream, the AI reduces the chapters and selects photos according to criteria defined in prompt engineering.
3. The ML defines visual pre-sets to give the photos the urban mood autonomously, based on prompt engineering.
4. Autonomously the AI generates layout suggestions based on trainig data from Coffee Table Books from Amazon web store.
5. Autonomously the AI groups the photos into the selected layouts.
6. Based on steps 1-3, the AI is provoked to generate texts; in the process, the AI hallucinates to generate poems and/or fictional stories explicitly with corresponding prompts.
Final step by human
Selection or adjustment of text fonts; the first uploads on e.g. Apple Books showed an error rate of 3.8% in the graphical mapping. Had done the pre-publishing work in the conventional way, we would undoubtedly have needed 4-6 times as much time. But what became clear again is that a deeper general knowledge is absolutely indispensable to achieve good results in prompt engineering. The idea that an AI and ML "just takes the work away" from us users is completely wrong.

Some key learnings
iMB has been using AI and ML applications very intensively in process mining since around mid-2022. This digital book project also clearly shows us that AI and ML will massively change some B2B services.

All these aspects are currently being tested in a user-oriented project by the colleagues at iMB in Process Mining.
